For lovers of nature
The lodge is dedicated to providing quiet, peaceful interaction with nature. There are only 3 rooms, and a maximum of 9 guests at any one time! Wildlife is prolific in and around the lodge grounds.
The lodge is self-contained, meaning you can bring your own food (or eat out in the nearby town of Mareeba). It is a short 100m walk to between the rooms and the main lodge, where the kitchen is located.
We provide a breakfast hamper in each room for the first day, so you can truly relax.
Wild Nature Lodge is also home to The Orchids Function & Events venue.
Where are we?
20km north of Mareeba, in Far Northern Queensland, Australia and only a 90-minute drive from Cairns. The lodge is situated deep inside a private nature reserve in the largest remaining savannah on Earth. Access is on a graded gravel road, suitable for all vehicles.
the rooms
The Boutique Lodge Rooms are luxurious safari-style tents with ensuite bathrooms and your own private deck for relax on. There are only 3 rooms at the Lodge, to ensure you have an incredible wildlife experience.
A wildlife bonanza
Wildlife is prolific, with several mammal species including the endangered Northern Quoll. Take a quiet walk in the early morning, or at night, for the best experience. The Lodge is only open during the Dry Season from May through October, with the other months given over completely to wildlife. June to September are the most popular times.
Access and parking
Any vehicles can access the Lodge, and there is adequate parking for cars and coaches. There is a small section of gravel road, but this is well graded and hire cars are fine.
